Buzz Aldrin recently made a statement about a structure of some sort on the surface of Mars. Now we have a picture of it, courtesy of Nasa. This rocky structure was captured, and it now has space geeks wondering what might be on Mars. Check it out below. What do you think?
Two spacecraft are currently on a mission to find a planet that once thrived in our solar system. The planet is being called Theia, and it has never been seen, but scientists believe that it once existed in the early times of our solar system. They even believe that its destruction lead to the creation of Earth’s moon.
Theia is believed to have existed 4.5 bilion years ago and was the size of Mars. Scientists think that Theia crashed into Earth, and the debris from that collision created the moon as it is today. Two Stereo probes are currently searching the heavens for this once existing and now long dead planet. What do you think? Could there have been another planet in our solar system?
Yes, that is what the chief of SETI, is saying. SETI stands for Search For Extraterrestial Intelligence, and the project has been searching the galaxy for signs of life for the last fifty years, and now those involved feel we’re getting even closer to making real contact with an alien species.
With the launch of the Kepler Space Telescope, the chances of contact with life from another world will only increase. The SETI program was once funded by the government, but it has now been funded by private sources in recent years. What do you think of this recent claim? Are we really getting closer to making contact with life from some other planet?
The more time our rovers spend on the Red Planet known as Mars, the more we find out about the planet, and it looks like there is a real chance of life once having been on the planet. The latest discovery is mud volcanos on the planet. These are just more evidence of a chance of life on a planet not our own.
It makes me wonder what happened to the life on the planet. I’m sure I’m not the only asking that question right now. Where is the race of beings that once called Mars home? Did they die off or did they leave the Red Planet behind for a new world? What do you think?
In this galaxy, there is more than just our planet Earth. In our solar system alone, we have a number of planets that might have had life on them at one point. There is research being done on the surface of the planet Mars. As a fan of the paranormal, I’ve always believed that the possibility of life on other planets was a given. This universe is too big for us earthlings to be the only ones alive in it.
Of course, the number of sightings of UFO’s has only increased in the last sixty years. Something tells me that one day soon we will meet up and make a true first contact with an alien species. That is if we haven’t already. This video below says there are one hundred billion planets in our galaxy that can sustain life. What do you think? Are we alone or is there life out there somewhere that can travel the distance to our world?
No, I am not talking about the television series currently airing on ABC, but that one is an interesting one now following up ABC’s coverage of Lost. I’m talking about the Red Planet. Scientists are now saying that there is life on the planet. It may not be living organisms like we have here on our own Planet Earth, but methane gas has been found coming from the surface, and this seems to suggest that under the rocky Martian surface there is something living.
NASA has called for another trip to the Martian surface to find out more about this new discovery. The rovers currently on the surface could fail at any time, and this new information has increased interest on the planet. To say we are the only living beings in the universe is wrong. Life on other planets has to be possible. What is lurking under the surface of the Red Planet? Do you agree there is some life to be found on Mars?
NASA is celebrating the fact that rovers have existed on the surface of Mars for five years. The first rover, Spirit, landed back on January 2, 2004. Another rover have followed since then, and all three have somehow survived the conditions on the harsh planet. The robots were only expected to exist on the planet for three months. Those expectations have been surpassed.
Spirit and Opportunity have given us many answers about the planet Mars including the fact that there was water on the planet about a billion years ago. More secrets could be unlocked in time, but there is no telling just how long the two robot rovers were continue to last on the planet.
Both are showing signs of their age, and if they fail we will have no further images from the Mars surface until a new vehicle could be sent up. The program is being hit by budget problems.
This picture was released on Monday of liquid found on the surface of Saturn’s moon, Titan. The Huygen’s Probe landed on the moon back in 2005, and it has a similar surface to our own planet Earth. This tiny drop of liquid is the first found on the surface of a world other than our own. Exciting I think! Check out the picture below.
A meteorite is said to have crashed in New Zealand over this weekend. The object hit a warehouse and set it ablaze. One man was located in the building at the time of the strike, and he was injured in the fire. Witnesses of the fire said something was seen in the skies overhead around 10pm, and it was seen hitting the structure not long after.
It has not yet been confirmed if this is indeed what happened, but witnesses are standing by their claims that something did strike the building, and it came from the sky.
Some witnesses of the object said the following:
Several callers claim the light in the sky was very bright, and it was described by some as a blinding flash. Others said it was trailing smoke. One man, Mike, says he saw the object crash with an exploding noise in the Ponsonby area, and reckons it could have started the fire.
This really has been a good year for sightings of this nature in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. More are looking towards the skies to see what they may find. What do you think?
