2012: End Of The World?

Published by Regina Avalos at 5:51 pm under From The News, Prophecies Edit This

We all remember what happened back in 2000. Everyone thought the world as we knew it would come to an end with Y2K. Technology around the world would come to a halt. That didn’t happen. Our computers still turned on. All the worries were for nothing.

Well, another big date is fast approaching, December 21, 2012. A movie has been made, websites have sprung up, and people around the world are waiting to see if Earth will stop to function on that date. The date marks the end of the calendar put forth by the Mayan people over five thousand years ago.

Many are wondering if when that calendar comes to an end, life on our planet will come to an end. As that date approaches, more buzz, theories and discussion pop up. What do you think? Will the world come to an end on December 21, 2012? Or will this be another Y2k flop?

I doubt it, it will come and go just as the year 2000.

Okay, this is beyond creepy. I just popped in here to make sure my post made it onto the list okay since it’s been insane since I got transitioned out of writing and…

We actually wrote about the same thing on the same day.

    That’s just spooky.

Anyway, back to the topic…I was pretty sure Y2K was a load of crap since I was working on the Y2K project for a major company at the time and it was nowhere near the mayhem it was made out to be. This thing though…I can’t be sure. I guess it all depends on which hat you’ve got on. The tin foil hats are pretty sure Obama is an alien who will fly us off on his spaceship before then so it’s no big deal. The psychics, intuitives and other paranormal organizations are split down the middle. About half report a negative shift in energy while the rest say they feel a negative shift followed by a hopeful one.

I think I’ll stay happily on my fence for the time being. I’m supposed to be impartial… ;)

the world didnt start 5000 years ago, so why should it stop when human parameters dictate?
