Supreme Court To Hear Exorcism Case

Published by Regina Avalos at 4:57 pm under From The News Edit This

This is something you don’t hear every day. The US Supreme Court is being asked to hear the case of a woman that sued after a 1996 exorcism. The event has caused her mental damage and problems ever since. She was first awarded $300,000 for the case, and then under appeal that number dropped to $188,000.

Last summer, the case of Laura Schubert was thrown out of court by the Texas Supreme Court because the court can’t get involved in religious matters. This is why the Supreme Court is being asked to look into things. The woman did suffer injury from the events, and they have been long lasting.

What do you think? Should the Supreme Court get involved in a case such as this? Or should they stay out of a matter of religion.
