No, I am not talking about the television series currently airing on ABC, but that one is an interesting one now following up ABC’s coverage of Lost. I’m talking about the Red Planet. Scientists are now saying that there is life on the planet. It may not be living organisms like we have here on our own Planet Earth, but methane gas has been found coming from the surface, and this seems to suggest that under the rocky Martian surface there is something living.

NASA has called for another trip to the Martian surface to find out more about this new discovery. The rovers currently on the surface could fail at any time, and this new information has increased interest on the planet. To say we are the only living beings in the universe is wrong. Life on other planets has to be possible. What is lurking under the surface of the Red Planet? Do you agree there is some life to be found on Mars?

Just yesterday on this blog, I talked about the ending of the Mayan calendar and the probable end of the world on December 21, 2012. That day is fast approaching, but today I have this picture to share with you. This picture is said to be taken on one of the Mayan Pyramids, and this figure showed up only on the image.

The person that took this picture says they took over 200 pictures, and this only appeared once. If you look at the image, it does look like some kind of spirit. The man that took the picture said it is similar to the Mayan carvings he had seen with his family that day. What do you think? Is this a spirit?

We all remember what happened back in 2000. Everyone thought the world as we knew it would come to an end with Y2K. Technology around the world would come to a halt. That didn’t happen. Our computers still turned on. All the worries were for nothing.

Well, another big date is fast approaching, December 21, 2012. A movie has been made, websites have sprung up, and people around the world are waiting to see if Earth will stop to function on that date. The date marks the end of the calendar put forth by the Mayan people over five thousand years ago.

Many are wondering if when that calendar comes to an end, life on our planet will come to an end. As that date approaches, more buzz, theories and discussion pop up. What do you think? Will the world come to an end on December 21, 2012? Or will this be another Y2k flop?

In the past week, we have seen the push by President Barack Obama and his staff to release those files in the government archives about UFO and other close encounters. This isn’t the first time such a plan has been called for, and President Clinton also made a similar promise during his time in office. However, now it looks like another future government official is making that promise in the UK.

If elected into office, David Cameron has made a promise to release any and all government files that pertain to UFO activity and close encounters. Could Obama started some kind of chain reaction by starting a push to release files in the US? Will other countries also follow suit?

No, we are not talking about Caesar’s ghost, but a UK nightclub named Caesar’s. The building is set for demolition in the weeks ahead, but ghost hunters plan to go into the night club to investigate reports of paranormal activity. Everything from the sound of footsteps in the halls to the sighting of shadowy figures have been seen by those on the staff there. The investigation is set for one special day, Friday the 13th.

They plan to invite the public along for the investigation as Most Haunted joins the investigation. This series is the Travel Channel’s jump into the paranormal. One spirit said to be at the club is that of Ruth Ellis. She is the last woman to be hanged in Britain, and she once worked at the club.

This isn’t the first investigation at the club. Most Haunted visited the club back in 2003. This return is being done in the hopes of capturing paranormal activity, as it increases when a building is about to be destroyed.

In Hollywood, we have a lot of ghost stories. Spirits that are seen visiting their old haunts. If one was to visit the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, they might come in contact with any number of the spirits that walk the halls of the hotel. One of those spirits that is seen there is that of Marilyn Monroe.

She died tragically, some say by her own hand, at the age of 36. Some have said they have seen her image in the full length mirror that is in the lobby of the hotel. This mirror was once in the room she often stayed in. Her spirit has also been seen walking around the graves outside her tomb at Westwood Memorial Cemetary. Have you seen the spirit of Marilyn Monroe?

When you see or hear the world hobbit, you automatically think Lord of the Rings and that series. Hobbits actually existed, and now researchers are saying hobbits weren’t even human. A group of American scientists have studies fossils found several years ago to make this determination.

The hobbit is said to have been another off shoot from Homo Erectus, but the creatures weren’t like us. These findings were made after studying one of the skulls found. The species is said to have died out. Possibly because they couldn’t live among humans.

However, these studies are not conclusive. More research needs to be done, including DNA mapping from the DNA left in the skulls. This is an interesting find however!

Sightings of unidentified flying objects only seem to be increasing. A man in the UK spotted this object in the skies overhead on his way home from work in the early morning hours Wednesday, January 21st. He snapped a few shots with his mobile phone camera, but they really aren’t all that clear as you can see from above.

He also tried taking video of the object that he says was hovering at about 300 feet. He describes the object as bowl hat shaped.  He watched the object in the sky, which some are saying was just him spotting the European Space Station, but he says this object was flying to low for that.

This is the first sighting in this area in quite some time. If only the picture gave us a better look. What do you think?

Many were wondering what Barack Obama would do once he took office. UFO enthusiasts were asking that he release government files that pertain to sightings of unidentifed flying objects. In his very first day in office, President Barack Obama made a pledge to open up the government. No more secrets.

This includes the release of files on UFO’s that will not threaten national security. No telling what might be included in these files. They have been kept since the crash landing of an object in Roswell, New Mexico back in the 1940s. This news should make many that follow UFO’s and aliens very happy. What do you think?

Barack Obama is finally starting to settle into his new digs in Washington D.C. George W. Bush headed back to Texas on Tuesday, and Barack Obama partied the day away before getting down to work yesterday. It is an historic time for him and our country.

Of course this means, we are all looking ahead to the future and what he will do. One woman, a numerologist by the name Glynis McCants, went on the radio yesterday with a few predictions for the president and his time in office. According to The Numbers Lady, this year will be the test for Obama. If he can survive this year, he can become an effective president. She also warned him to stay away from excess when it comes to life. The items she mentioned were food, sex and alcohol.
